Founded in 2016, Central Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance, a non-profit organization of over 70 members, is dedicated to increasing educational opportunities and career awareness in welding, fabricating, machining, and manufacturing trades. A leader in manufacturing development strategies for central Wisconsin, CWIMA convenes regional workforce development, business, and educational partners to strengthen our current and future metal manufacturing workforce.

The future is clear—not only in central Wisconsin, but for communities across the United States, and that future is in advanced manufacturing. Yet, the development and training of workers for those careers isn’t keeping pace. CWIMA leaders decided early that their focus would be to engage and prepare the workers of tomorrow to create a home-grown workforce second to none. CWIMA’s strategies are seeing great success in central Wisconsin, and those same strategies that can work in your community too.

Key to CWIMA’s success has been the development of Trades of Tomorrow®.
